How much does an off-grid solar system cost in Pakistan?

Off-grid pricing is driven by battery size. A small 2kW + 5kWh cabin system runs PKR 5.5–7.5 lakh; a 5kW + 15kWh farmhouse system with one AC runs PKR 16–22 lakh; a large 15kW + 40kWh home runs PKR 50–65 lakh. Final price follows a detailed load survey.

How many days can an off-grid system run without sun?

We typically design for 1–3 days of autonomy. A 5-room farmhouse using 8 kWh/day with 2-day autonomy needs roughly 20kWh of usable LFP battery (about 4× Pylontech US5000). More autonomy means a bigger, costlier bank, so we balance it against your cloudy-weather risk.

Why only LFP batteries for off-grid?

Off-grid cycles the battery hard every single day. LFP lithium lasts 6,000+ cycles (15–20 years) at 80% usable depth, with no thermal-runaway risk in Pakistan's heat. Lead-acid lasts 1–2 years at 50% usable depth — far more expensive per cycle. We never install lead-acid for off-grid.

Can off-grid run air conditioners?

Yes, with correct sizing. ACs dramatically increase both the inverter size and the battery bank required, so we model AC runtime precisely before quoting. A 5kW + 15kWh system comfortably runs one inverter AC plus normal household load; multiple ACs need an 8kW+ system with 25kWh or more.

Do I need net metering for an off-grid system?

No — net metering only applies to grid-connected systems. An off-grid system has no DISCO connection, so there is no application, no concurrence fee, and no bi-directional meter. You are completely independent of the grid.

Can I add a generator as backup for long cloudy spells?

Yes. We can integrate a generator input so the off-grid inverter automatically starts a generator to top up the battery during extended overcast periods. It's a common, optional add-on for critical loads — though a well-sized battery covers most Pakistani weather.
